Imprints Of Life On Clay

Shantanu began his journey in Ceramics out of boredom. It was a hobby, a nice counterpoint to his job in brand marketing. The kind of thing where one gets in touch with one’s creative side, dabbling a little in the exploration of the self. Usually, these creative urges have the half-life of the next crisis at work, but in his case, one saw this diversion turn into something more serious. The hobby turned into a determined pursuit, which became a passion and is now today a way to communicate his deepest and most artistic inclinations. It helped him find layers within himself that perhaps were inaccessible even to him. Shantanu today is at his most articulate in clay, and his art now carries within many strands that have become increasingly more coherent with time. Without describing or qualifying his work in any way, and letting viewers respond to it in their own way, it is clear that Shantanu has found his voice, and today and in the times to come, we will hear it sing ever more stirring melodies.
